Fun With the Kids at WonderWorks #ad

We received complimentary tickets to WonderWorks to facilitate this review. All opinions expressed are our own. WonderWorks is an upside down house. Seeing the attraction from the road gets you intrigued and you just want to see what is inside! My boys love this attraction and they enjoy visiting it every trip we make to Pigeon Forge, TN! About the upside down house, WonderWorks : As legend has it, the world’s greatest scientists – led by Professor Wonder – were given the task of creating a man-made tornado and harnessing its power. During this experiment, something went awry, and the power of the tornado was unleashed inside the laboratory. This created a swirling vortex that was strong enough to rip the laboratory from its foundation. It was carried thousands of miles away and landed upside-down … the rest, as they say, is history. WonderWorks is one of the top things to do in Pigeon Forge! This indoor amusement park is over 35,000 square feet of educational fun! It's … [Read more...]

Brain Balance’s 5 Unexpected Ways to Keep Your Child Learning this Summer

Do you sometimes feel drained about halfway through the summer (or maybe within a couple of weeks of summer break)? You want summer to be full of blue skies, popsicles, sprinkler fun and cookouts, but it ends up being full of a lot of pressure to keep the kids occupied now that school is out. You don't want them to get bored, because the minute they do they start picking and get on one another's nerves, right? I hear ya, loud and clear! It's so hard to set the kids up with activities that keep them learning and engaged.  It can be particularly tough for parents of kids with behavioral, social, or learning difficulties.    So I partnered with Brain Balance [www.brainbalancecenters.com]—a drug-free, holistic approach to addressing the challenges of behavioral, social, or learning disabilities—to try some of their summer activities, and to share a little bit about their philosophy. And let me tell you, their activities actually work. I'm so excited to keep this momentum going into the … [Read more...]

We received discounted tickets to Magic Beyond Belief to facilitate this review. Al opinions expressed are our own. Our boys love magic! As a matter of fact, we have had several magic kits over the years, and they put those things to good use. There's just something about watching a child perform magic tricks for you. I think it's simply adorable and I love that they are putting their little creative minds to use. What is a vacation without a little magic? When we were on vacation in Pigeon Forge, TN we stopped to see Darren Romeo's Magic Beyond Belief show. My boys were super excited about the show and couldn't wait for it to get started! Why I Won’t Be Stepping Foot In Kroger Again…

Disclaimer: All opinions expressed are my own. I did not receive anything to write this post, however I felt the need to share my story. Did the title catch you off guard? I mean, I'm the mom that boasts about how worn out my Kroger Rewards card is and how much I appreciate that they finally put a Kroger in my town a few years ago. It's true....I still love Kroger! But, you won't see me in the store near as often as you used to. Why? Because Kroger has this awesome new service called Kroger ClickList (<---You can read about it there)! I feel like they had the busy mom in mind when they created this. I don't know who came up with the idea, but I seriously LOVE YOU!!!! So, here's how it works. You go online to Kroger.com  and sign up for an account (if you haven't already done so. If you have one, just log in). Once you get there, at the top of the screen,  it will say Order Online. You click on that and on the pull down menu, click ClickList Pick up at Store. (Photo  … [Read more...]

Tennessee Attractions- Our Family Vacation #ad

Please note: We received free and/or discounted tickets to many of the attractions we attended. All opinions expressed are our own. Does our Pigeon Forge vacation really have to end? We were having so much fun in Tennessee that we really didn't want our vacation to end. My husband and I got married (almost) 18 years ago at a small church called the Sugarland Wedding Chapel on the main strip (Parkway) in Gatlinburg, TN. We try to go back to the Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg area as often as we can (our whole family loves the area!) This year we decided to take our children to the church where it all started... We were thrilled to see that the church was still standing, however I wish I would have called ahead of time to see if we could have gone inside to take a peek around. Unfortunately, the doors were locked when we arrived. Maybe next time! We visited some pretty awesome attractions in Gatlinburg! Our first attraction was to the Ripley's Aquarium of The Smokies in Gatlinburg, … [Read more...]
