The Perfect Easter Basket For Older Boys

Over the years I have found it more and more challenging to come up with great holiday gifts for my older boys. They could care less if they woke up on Easter morning to plastic eggs throughout the house and little bunnies in a basket. Don’t get me wrong, they want the candy, but they don’t so much care about all of the fun and cute stuff.

This year we decided to do something a little different. We live in a very small town and are blessed to have a KMart with a grocery section in it. I love how they carry products for each holiday, but they make my life simple by keeping it all in one big section of the store. Those stores that spread everything all across the store and make you walk back and forth sort of annoy me—ha! KMart’s grocery section offers competitive, low prices on their grocery items.

I headed over to my local K-Mart with an idea and a budget. I’m pleased to announce that I stayed under budget and was able to quickly grab everything I needed to make my idea come to life. And in the end I’m so pleased with our Teen Boy Easter baskets we came up with.

I started by going to the section of the store where the Sports team apparel is. I picked out a couple of ball caps that I knew my two teens would love.

We then headed to the Easter section of the store and picked up some great deals on Easter candy. I’m so impressed in the large selection of Easter stuff they had! Easter 6-pack Candy or Lindt Gold Bunny for $2.50 on Sale—-Isn’t that an awesome deal!? Hurry because this offer ends on April 8th!

You can also Get Easter Packaged Chocolates for $1.50 on sale! This offer runs 4/9-4/15

We headed to the grocery section and picked up some Smart Sense (KMart’s private label brand) products to add to our baskets. I love these products because they are inexpensive, but still great quality! When I use my KMart rewards card I can get Shop Your Way Rewards points back for making Smart Sense purchases!

Now through May 1st—-Earn 25% In Points with $10+ of Smart Sense Food & Drug Products at Kmart

I also love that KMart has Bluelight Specials. I’ve always sort of known about this, but for years I didn’t really pay attention. It wasn’t until I found out that you can find Bluelight Specials online and get notified when the next one happens from the Kmart app.
